Edinburgh's Italian restaurant group, Vittoria was awarded the title of Restaurant of the Year at last week's Qype Business Awards, finishing top of a list of 7000 UK restaurants. The group beat brands like London's Wahaca in be crowned the best.

The Vittoria restaurant group is home to five Italian restaurant in Edinburgh: Divino Enoteca wine restaurant on Merchant Street, Taste of Italy restaurant on Baxter Place, Vittoria on the Bridge restaurant in Old Town, plus Vittoria on the Walk restaurant and La Favorita restaurant, both in Leith.

The restaurant group will now go on to represent the UK at the Qype World Business of the Year Awards.
