Despite only opening in July 2011, Edinburgh restaurant, Castle Terrace, has been awarded the coveted Michelin Star award in the recently published red Michelin Guide Great Britain and Ireland 2012. You are now at liberty to pencil Head Chef Dominic Jack’s modern British (with a French twist) menu onto your ‘to do’ list of top Edinburgh restaurants.Castle Terrace joins sister restaurant The Kitchin, 21212 restaurant on Carlton Hill, Restaurant Martin Wishart in Leith, and Number One restaurant (at Balmoral Hotel) on the very exclusive list of Michelin Star restaurants in Edinburgh. To book a table at the latter, please use the booking form to the right.
You may also want to take note of Edinburgh’s Bib Gourmand restaurant - a restaurant that offers fine cooking at moderate prices - which maintained its award in the new Michelin guide: The Dogs in New Town.
Sad news for fans of The Plumed Horse, which has had its Michelin Star removed.
