Chef Tony Borthwick has taken a nostalgic look back at favourite dishes from the culinary past and recreated them with a playful twist for today.

The Plumed Horse restaurant, situated in Leith’s renowned ‘Michelin Mile’, will hold the Retro Menu event for one night only on 7 April 2011.

Tony has always enjoyed ‘poking fun’ at retro British dining and bringing it up to date with modern flair. The Retro Menu includes Tony’s take on such classics as Prawn Cocktail, Steak & Chips and Black Forest Gateau, with coffee and petit fours to finish.

Fine dining-style Haggis, Neeps and Tatties is also included – the ultimate comfort food upgraded to Michelin star standard.
