To celebrate their 25th Anniversary, the Edinburgh School of Food & Wine are offering a pair of vouchers (worth £110) to one of their fantastic food and wine evenings. The Edinburgh School of Food & Wine, Scotland’s only BAC accredited cookery school, opened in 1986 and offers a range of cookery and wine courses to suit everyone from one day courses to a 6 month diploma. The school is situated just 12 miles west of Edinburgh city centre within a former 18th century Coach House on the grounds of Newliston House. ESFW Food & Wine Evenings are held in the Bell Tower Room of our beautiful 18th Century Coach House, designed by architect Robert Adam, and are occasions to taste quality wines from different countries throughout the world and to sample flavours of that country. Each evening is based on a country or a specific region, around which a five course menu is designed and freshly prepared. Wines are carefully selected to match each course and an experienced wine connoisseur will be on hand to guide you through the tasting of each wine and to talk about the characteristics of the grapes and of the regions in which they are grown. The Chef will join you later in the evening to talk in more detail about the food you have tasted and perhaps even share some recipes.
