The Hive Description

Famously unpretentious, dual-dancefloored Cowgate haunt, beloved by students and pretty young things. Open every night of the week, mixing up a rainbow spectrum-playlist of music styles from electropop to indie hits, R&B to nu-metal, and a pinch of just about everything else in between.

“I love hive, if you are into all the usual chart music then you can party in the big room, but if not, and you like something more alternative then you can go through to the little room. It caters for everyone, and the drinks rock”

“Great Venue with 2 dancefloors and loads of wee rooms. Always a great mix of music - everyone will love something. The DJs are always good. Cheap drinks and good promos on, free entry if you go early too! Def reccomend!”

“The Hive should be renamed The Dive. This being said, I don’t need pretty (or clean) surroundings to have a good night and so I’m actually a fan of this place. I went in initially at around 10 and the place was dead, returned later at around 11.30 and it was still pretty quiet – leave this place as your last stop!”
