“Brilliant little local pub just tucked off the main thoroughfare of Stockbridge. This is the perfect pub for a quiet drink or a slightly noisier one or few! There is a real sense of localness going on, but newcomers are always made to feel welcome, this is mainly due to the excellent staff and friendly manager Pat. Avoca offers a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with table service (when its not too jammed with people) and fantastic food, the portions are generous and great value for money, their burgers are a firm favorite for me. So whether you are going in for a quiet drink on your way home or catching up with a group of friends, Avoca caters for all needs. It is reasonably priced with a nice bottle of wine coming in at about £14 and food generally around about £8 for a main course. All in all a fantastic bar well laid out with just the right balance of tables vs sofa's and plenty room to sit at the bar.”
